The Baldacci Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the Lincoln Creek Vineyard in the Oakville AVA. This is a classic example of the unique contrasts within the Napa Valley growing regions, and particularly Oakville, located near the Winery Ranch in Stags Leap District. In the glass the color is a deep rich garnet. The aromatics at first sight were restrained, but began to open after several minutes, revealing layers of ripe red and dark fruit, a hint dried flowers and milk chocolate. The palate is full-bodied, with layers of ripe fruit, a silky texture, supple tannins, and a slight lift in acidity throughout the finish that ends creamy and lovely. 2022 was a challenging vintage for winemakers in Napa Valley. However, in challenging vintages you can always find some gems. This is one of them. Decant to enjoy now, but you can hold for several years.
