Library Wines
Aged at the winery and released when ready. These library selections offer a rare chance to taste how Baldacci wines evolve with time.
What Are Library Wines?
Library wines are older vintages that the winery held back from initial release and aged in our underground cave under ideal conditions. While most wineries release their wines 2-3 years after harvest, library wines may sit for 5, 7, or even 10+ years before they reach you.
The advantage is simple: you get to drink wines that have already developed secondary and tertiary flavors — dried fruit, leather, tobacco, cedar — without having to cellar them yourself. The winery has done the aging for you, in conditions no home wine fridge can match.
Why Baldacci Library Wines Are Different
Winemaker Michael Baldacci builds wines to age. Our Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon is structured with firm tannins and balanced acidity — the backbone that allows the wine to evolve gracefully over decades. The organic farming and low yields (3 tons/acre) produce concentrated fruit that holds up to extended aging.
Library releases are limited and sell quickly. Wine club members receive advance notice before library wines are offered to the public.
